The first competition in Saskatchewan this year is being hosted by the SLSSC in Martensville on October 24-25, 2026 at the Martensville Recreation Centre, 100 Main Street.
This developmental competition is open to all skaters of every age and ability. Please read the bulletin for all competition details, including racing categories, required seed times and which distances will be raced.
NEW TO SPEED SKATING?
There truly is a racing group for every skater's ability. A local meet is a fantastic opportunity to give racing a try! Skaters aged 4 & 5 race right before the lunchbreak each day - 50m and 100m races! Ages 6+ race throughout Saturday and Sunday. Are you an adult who would like to race? There's a group for you!
*NEW* SEED TIMES
New for Saskatchewan meets this year, skaters are responsible for regularly updating their personal best time using a seed time form found on Speed Skating Sask website, and within the meet registration system. Skaters under 14, across Saskatchewan, will be entering all short track and long track meets this year using their 400m short track time. Skaters 14 and up will use their 500m short track time for ST meets, and their 500m OS time and 1500m OS time for LT meets. A 14-year-old who does not yet have a 500m short track time on the 111.12 track can enter their first meet of the season using their 400m seed time from the 100m track.

- Early Bird Registration is Thursday October 8, 2026 at 11:30pm
- Regular Registration Thursday October 15, 2026 at 11:30pm
- Speed Skating Sask will not accept registrations after October 15, 2026.
