The Saskatoon Lions Speed Skating Club was founded in 1942 by Clarence Downey, also known as Mr. Speed Skating of Saskatchewan. Today, we are a vibrant community of skaters numbering about 260 skaters ranging in all ages. SLSSC hosts many competitions, including fun mini-meets and provincial and national events.
Our focus is on building community, friendships, sportsmanship, and confident and dedicated athletes.
Our club has a long history of Provincial, National, and Olympic skaters.
